Best of luck and good health to you Diane! I love this line and totally agree: “It’s important to get the money to those researchers!”

Diane, fight for you and your family. Just to give you a hope, I too was diagnose with stage 4 NSCLC. I was given 12 months to live last year past month. After 4 treatments of Chemos, a combo of Paclitaxel and Carboplatin, I'm clear of tumors. I had a brochoscopy done last week and found things to be very normal. Even though it's clear of cancer, i was not declared cured. :( I'm currently on 150mg Tarceva to prevent the recurrence of tumor.
Wish you and your family well!

They believe I have the EFGR mutation as Tarceva seems to be shrinking everything, even the bones, but I'll know more when the bone results come back Thursday. I'm into my 10th month since diagnosis..

It's nice to read a lung cancer good news story... I'm a 42 year old male suffering stage 4 NSCLC that is metastasized and spread to my bones. (spine, ribs, hips - torso in general). I too was a 5 day a week gym junkie that has never smoked.

Diane, You MUST look up Diane Legg and Rich Monopoli. They are both in the Boston area and have (unfortunately) been "doing' the lung cancer thing for a while.
I am also a stage 4 in remission--I was diagnosed while living in Wellesley, MA but then moved out to Seattle with my family for the end of my life which was 8 years ago!
Good Luck!!
